St Johns Young Men’s Shelter (Anglicare)
Support young men (16 – 25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
St Margaret’s Young Women’s Shelter (Anglicare)
Supports young women (16 -25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Homeless Men’s Hostel (St Vincent de Paul)
Provides crisis and short term supported accommodation to single men over 18 years.
Quigley Street Night Shelter (Anglicare)
Crisis emergency accommodation with one nutritious evening meal and breakfast included (for homeless and rough sleepers 18+, ATSI and broader community)
– 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
Lyons Street Diversionary Service (Anglicare)
Sobering up facility. Supports ATSI individuals and others who are at risk of being taken into custody for public intoxication offenses.

Who are we?
We are a group of specifically trained Christian volunteers from across all Church denominations who want to make a practical difference in the city of Cairns, by caring for alcohol and drug intoxicated or other vulnerable people and by helping keep the night club precinct safe.
